Mutualism
Mutualism is used to describe the ecological interactions between species that do not harm or reduce fitness of the other. A nurse log that provides ecological facilitation to seedlings creates a mutualistic interaction. As humans, we can observe, document, protect, and destroy these systems but I was curious what it would feel like to participate in a creative and contemplative way.
